48246S CD RW SS0E DRIVER

The characterization of a drive's DAE performance should not be limited by what software is used. And all Lite-Ons do that? He-he Also check your spelling in Koda k and Ta i yo Yuden!!! The SB media checker says this media is audio-only and rates it at 12x. Cyanine, Azo, etc Capacity:

So, the first test was run at 32x. More errors at slower speeds. Then a special program is used to compare the reference WAV image to the ripped back WAV image and then a report is made about the drives error correction and concealement capabilities etc.

This drive is on firmware v. It performs relatively poorly at 32x-speed considering 48x-speed media. Made in Taiwan Rated Speeds: And slower speeds actually return way more errors! Burnt 2 media with c1 spike in similar place.

Can any1 explain this? Also, it is a non-caching drive and telling EAC that it caches almost certainly reduces the chances of getting an accurate rip from a bad disc.

LiteOn Technology and CD-ROM drivers

The whole project is fully described here: What I'd like to confirm at this point is whether this is a normal trait of this drive or is there something wrong with it? Anyone with "better" or "popular" drives care to do such a test? A very disappointing performance by a supposed high quality disc.

Secondly, whenever a read error occurs the drive slows down. Based on these 48264s, I cannot recommend this media. He-he Also check your spelling in Koda k and Ta i yo Yuden!!!

Cyanine Type 0 Media type: Sold as Verbatim datalife not datalifeplus!

Did the test include the use of PlexTools with the Plextor drives? This is the old popular AZO-Blue dye, dark blue. Or do I just have a messed up drive?

This drive often does better ss00e C2 enabled although C2 performance isn't anywhere near as good as other drives like my PXA. At least Verbatim makes some of the prettiest media in the world, if not the best. After several trials I now have no doubt that the one and only speed at which this drive yields best results is 40X.

The SB media checker says this media is audio-only and rates it at 12x. This media carries no speed rating on the package.

LiteOn LTR-48246S Firmware Download and Update for

Cyanine, Azo, etc Capacity: It does best with the speed set to I notice that it slows down to 8X whenever it encounters a read error. Is this controlled by the firmware? I mention these other two settings because I believe the improvement in accuracy may also be related to the extraction speed. However if I forced a reading speed, I got inferiour results.

That is to say it remains excellent even when its firmware slows down the speed. Also I want to know if all Lite-Ons behave like this or is this a freak thing?
